PinPoint teams up with Wimbledon RFC for 26/27 Season

Matt Pickin, Director of Wimbledon Women’s and Girls Rugby said: “Pre-season training is now under way and there’s already a real sense of excitement ahead of the new season kicking off in October. It’s fantastic to have PinPoint Information supporting our women’s and girls’ teams, and we’re looking forward to wearing the new kit and building on the momentum around women’s and girls’ rugby at the club.”

Ben said: “We wanted to support grassroots rugby and saw the women’s team as an area that needed support; it is growing but needed funding and we are delighted to give them that opportunity. The recent success of the Red Roses and the first British & Irish Lions women’s tour has really brought women’s rugby to a much wider audience, inspiring more women and girls to get involved in the game. It is equally important that they have opportunities to play at grassroots level; Wimbledon RFC provides a welcoming environment where players of all ages and abilities can build their skills and enjoy being part of a team.

“It was fantastic to meet the captains and present the teams with their new shirts. We are very proud to have the PinPoint name on the kit and look forward to following both teams throughout the season.”

The partnership is an opportunity for PinPoint to support the continued development of the women’s and girls’ game and celebrate local players, coaches and volunteers who make it possible. There is a huge amount of potential in the club and both the teams have demonstrated this with last season successes.
